Monday – 8 mile bike ride with the kids (slow but fun). Then a 17 mile road bike ride, ave 17mph, with a 4 mile brick run
Tuesday – strength training at home, then an hour SwimFit in the evening
Wednesday – 11 mile road bike, 17mph
Thursday – half hour swim
Feeling pretty good, and 4 weeks on Sunday is my next triathlon. Between now and then I want to do at least one full-distance bike and brick run (25 mile bike, 6.2 mile run) as training. I know I can do the distances, but experiencing doing them together before the race will be a big help.
Meanwhile … next week I’ll be measuring up and trying to buy an end-of-line wetsuit. Time to get my ass into some open water swimming!
And I’m ITCHING to find out what date Ironman UK is next year. Once that’s entered and in the diary, it’ll start to feel more real.
