Well, DIY time trials. I’ve picked out a 9.8 mile loop out and back from my home to test my fast biking speed. For anyone who knows the area, it’s down to Usk, then back via the Chainbridge.
First effort tonight … finished in 34:39, which is an average of about 16.9mph. It’s quite an undulating course, with one short, sharp out-of-your-seat hill close to the Foxhunter Inn (the own owned by celeb chef Matt Tebbutt, for anyone interested!) Hoping to improve that time significantly over the next few months…
And perhaps if I hit 20mph I’ll stop at the Foxhunter for a meal!
