I didn’t used to get colds! Being fit is bad for you.
So I’ve been feeling very sorry for myself, and a bit frustrated because I have a swim trial with NEWTs next Tuesday (the local Tri club) and I want to do a decent job.
However … spent half an hour on the turbo trainer this morning and it felt very good. I’m going to go for a run tomorrow, only 4 or 5 miles. And I hope that’s it for this cold!
Years ago I’d say ‘I haven’t done any exercise for months!’ Now I say, ‘I haven’t done any exercise for 5 days’ and feel shitty about it. How things change.
