I think that’s what they call it, anyway.
Had a great training week so far, with more to come. A 3 mile run on Monday, a hard but great swimming session on Tuesday (swam 56 lengths in the hour, for me that’s a really good output!), 7 mile run yesterday. And today, an hour on my new turbo trainer! I followed a dvd that came with it — a cycle ride along the Italian coast — and it was bloody hard work. A bath of sweat afterwards. But it felt good, and it’s nice being able to hop on the bike even though it’s dark outside.
Oh, and one thing I’ve found … the noise from the resistance unit means it’s easy to make sure your stroke is smooth … get a consistent sound rather than a whoosh-whoosh sound and you’re pedalling fine. Great stuff.
Swimming tomorrow morning, then a ten mile run on Saturday (off to watch my son play football … multi-tasking) and a long ride on Sunday (hoping for over 30 miles, if time allows). Then Monday … rest day. Been a good week, and feeling great. Some people call me mad for doing a bit of exercise. Who’s the mad one?
