After a couple of weeks of hit and miss training, last week was a good one.  Here’s what I did:

Monday – 4 mile run with sprints

Tuesday – 10 mile bike with 3 mile brick run (no jelly legs!)

Wednesday – Swim

Thursday – 7 mile trail run, very hilly (for those who know, Pontypool to Folly Tower to Goytre)

Friday (would have been rest day but…) – 5 mile fast MTB (home from taking car to garage)

Saturday – 23 mile bike

Sunday – 10 mile road run

There were a couple of strength sessions thrown in there too.  Not huge distances, but I worked hard at what I did.  In honour of the Olympics I’m doing my first Olympic distance triathlon in September (the swim’s a bit shorter, actually, but almost there), so 6 weeks left to train for that.  Good stuff!

Another post on the Olympics soon.  I’m enjoying it immensely, and finding it incredibly inspiring.

Rest day today, tomorrow it’s swimming again.  Oh, and I dropped 5lbs over the past 2 weeks, which is nice!
